One of the Pakistani web series sees a famous actress making her debut as a producer for the digital space.
Another online production will air courtesy on ZEE5, with a renowned writer behind the story.
There will also be another Pakistani web series on ZEE5. This features a successful drama pairing who have previously had good on-screen chemistry.
Sports, romance, and, fantasy family drama are the core genres of these Pakistani web series.
We reveal more details about several Pakistani web series that are a must-watch in 2022.
Shaheen XI
Shaheen XI is a Pakistani web series, with sports being at the forefront of it. Iconic Pakistani actress, Mahira Khan makes her production debut with this web series.
The web series is starring Danyal Zafar, Shahveer Jafry, Kinza Hashmi, Zarrar Khan, Khaqan Shahnawaz, and Mira Sethi.
Adnan Sarwar is taking the director’s chair for this web series.
Content creator Khaqan who is also making his debut in the series went on Instagram to share images from the shoot with his co-stars and producer.
In addition, he took the opportunity to write an extensive caption about the web series, revealing:
“So excited to share my first acting project with you guys! Couldn’t have asked for a better set of people to work with!
“Working with @adnansarwar11 was a bliss, his direction and advices have shaped me into a better actor. “
“Also can’t wait for you guys to see @danyalzee put all of us to shame with his brilliant acting, never knew he was so good at it!
“Found great new friendships that I will cherish for the rest of my life, shooting without these people seems unimaginable now, the fun I had on set with @zarrarkhaann @shahveerjay and @meeryousuf is inexplainable.

Fashion and model-actor Zarrar Khan also posted behind-the-scene photos of himself and his co-actor in sports gear.
The cricket-related web series will launch on streaming site Tapmad TV.

Pakistani stars Wahaj Ali and Zara Noor Abbas, feature in an upcoming Pakistani web series to air on ZEE5.
Wahaj became famous for his versatility, especially with roles in Ehd-e-Wafa (2020) and Fitoor (2021).
Besides, Ehd-e-Wafa, Zara had earlier gone on to receive praise for her role in the historical series, Deewar-e-Shab (2019).
Umera Ahmed is the writer of the series, with Haseeb Hassan being the director and producer of it. Without revealing too much, Wahaj told Dawn Images about his pairing with Zara, saying:
“You are going to see me romancing Zara Noor Abbas in this one and it’s something really nice. It’s far too early to disclose the story at the moment, but I can tell you it’s an Umera Ahmed script.”
Ali also adds that it is a privilege to work both with the Umera and Haseeb:
“[I am] really honoured to be working on something with these names behind the project. Equally, it is very delightful for him to share screen space, with the leading lady:
“She is an actor who lights up the camera. [She gives] amazing positive vibes to work with.”
“So happy we are finally getting to share the screen together as we have known each other from before.”
The drama stars Hina Bayat, Javed Sheikh, Yasra Rizvi, Dur-e Fishan to name a few.

Pakistani superstar Fawad Khan and the superb Sanam Saeed reunite after eight years for a Pakistani web series.
The hit pair became known for their acting in the popular drama series, Zindagi Gulzar Hai (2012).
Asim Abbasi of Cake (2018) is directing this Pakistani web series, which will launch on ZEE5. The shooting of the web series has taken place in the picturesque Hunza Valley of Pakistan.
On December 15, 2021, the director went onto Instagram to share shoot photos, along with divulging more details:
“Mystical land. Magical realism. And a big, old family in the middle of it.
“There’s Fawad. There’s Sanam. Both giving delicious performances, along with every other cast member (to be revealed in good time).
“Indebted to these great, great actors for giving their all to this project. Mad props to my partner in crime, Shailja, for saying yes to my (batshit crazy) ideas. Thank you for my wings!
“Long road ahead, but for now, feeling very blessed. I hope everyone who has entertained my work in the past, finds a little home for their soul in this new series.”
One of the images shows the heartthrob actor reading from a script. There s also an image of Sanam looking up at a tree, whilst Fawad gazes at her.
In addition, Sanam had earlier taken to Instagram on November 26, 2021, sharing naturistic images of herself from then shoot.
Additionally, she wrote, “Forest wonder” as part of her post caption.
Speaking about the specific roles of the lead stars, the producers told the News International:
“Fawad plays a single parent – charming but ridden with guilt for what he has lost.”
“With his son, he tries to be every bit the father his own father was and wasn’t. Sanam plays the central female character in the series.”
Furthermore, Fawad praised the Zindagi network for its storytelling, describing it as “bold and brave.” He also added:
“It’s naturally evolving into a platform that encourages diversity of opinion and inclusiveness for all filmmakers and material ranging from everyday mainstream to avant-garde and noir.”
Going by the images, circulating on social media, it is a fantasy-family web series. This Pakistani web series will especially attract fans of Fawad and Sanam.
There will also be many other Pakistani web series releasing in 2022, especially as they come to completion. Makers of these Pakistani web series are hoping to entertain, inspire inform the audience.
Whilst 2022 may have only a handful of Pakistani web series, quality will matter at the end of the day.
