- The story about the Paulding County mother facing charges for her children’s murders continues to develop, Darlene Brister, 40, had a third count of malice murder and an arson charge added to the list of her accused crimes on Tuesday. Investigators say more charges are likely and Brister remains in the Paulding County Detention Center without bond.(FOX 5 Atlanta)
- There’s still time to register as a vendor for Downtown Dallas’s Christmas in July event Jul. 16! Applications cost $25 for vendors and $50 for food trucks. The Christmas in July event will take place from 10 AM to 4 PM on Main Street in Downtown Dallas, GA. Click here to complete your registration. (City of Dallas)

- Paulding County is still searching for a temporary full-time Court Coordinator to serve through the end of the year. The position is funded through the ARPA Grant so assignments will conclude on December 31, 2022. Pay for the role is $18.40 hourly. Qualified candidates should have a “knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with completion of specialized training in the field of work, in addition to basic skills typically associated with a high school education.” (Paulding County Government)
- Who says “YA” books are only for young adults? If you’re a fan of the YA genre, you won’t want to miss tomorrow’s meeting of the YA For Adults Book Club at the Maude P. Ragsdale Public Library, At 5:30 pm, the group will be discussing “Daughter of the Pirate King” by Tricia Levenseller.
