Money Heist Korea – Joint Economic Area (종이의 : ) is a Korean adaptation of the immensely popular Netflix series La Casa De Papel or better known as Money Heist. The Korean adaptation closely follows the plot of the original Spanish show, but with the theme of the united territory of the Korean peninsula.
The series shares the united North and South Koreas, and shows the new evils in society that have emerged due to the now united peninsula. The cast includes Yoo Ji-tae who plays the mastermind character Professor, Park Hae-soo as Berlin, Jeon Jong-seo as Tokyo, Lee Won-jong as Moscow, Kim Ji-hoon as Denver, Jang Yoon-ju as Nairobi, Lee Hyun-woo as Rio, Kim Ji-hun as Helsinki, and Lee Kyu-ho as Oslo, alongside others.
The has done a good job even though many were skeptical about it at first, and viewers are loving the Korean twist that the creators have added to this adaptation. As its popularity is increasing, The Swoon Netflix took to Instagram earlier today to share memes that couldn’t be more relatable.
Technology is a boon in our lives, but sometimes it cannot get more annoying than these situations that we have to face with no choice. Sudden updates, crashing applications or a queue that we can’t skip, can be irritating and there’s nothing we can do except curse the stupid technology that does its own stuff. There is no doubt that Money Heist Korea started off on a double-edged sword as the fans did find it hard to accept a new adaptation of their beloved show. They knew that they would see new actors and a new everything in this version which was not easy for them.
But, the Korean version has slowly made its way to the fans and they are slowly beginning to enjoy this adaptation with new elements that make it different from the original. The show is not one to be missed and giving it a try wouldn’t ever replace the original in our hearts.
