The secret developer room in Dying Light 2 Stay Human contains valuable blueprints, but how to get inside and claim the rewards can be unclear.
There’s a secret developer room for players to find in Dying Light 2, but it can’t be reached until later in the game after players obtain the grappling hook and paraglider. The main story mission, “Broadcast,” will also need to be completed before the developer room can be accessed. Players will need to go to the Central Loop’s Garrison District to locate and unlock the secret developer room.
Dying Light 2 has various activities to keep players busy, including locating secret areas. To reach the developer room, players will need to get to the top of the VNC Tower, the tallest building in the Garrison District. After reaching the top, players can head southwest to the tall building with a few trees and a large antenna on the roof. The developer room is a few floors down, but players will need to connect the power cords to turn off the defenses and unlock the door.
There are a series of cables that need to be hooked up to electrical panels starting on the roof of the building. Players can use either the paraglider or the grappling hook to reach the lower floors where the panels are. From the roof, players can take the red wire hanging on an open panel, then go to the east side of the building and through the open window a few floors down on the corner. The cable can be connected to the panel near the opening, then players can find the next wire on the other side of the room.
Finding the Secret Developer Room in Dying Light 2
With the first cable attached, players can continue this side activity in Dying Light 2. After grabbing the second wire, players can jump out on the west side of the building and glide or grapple to the next opening. The panel will again be just inside the opening where players entered, and the third wire is on the opposite side of the room. Facing north, players can drop down to a grassy ledge with trees, then head west to find the broken window and grapple or glide down to the final opening from there.
Once all three power cords are connected, players can enter the developer room which is on the same floor as the last electrical panel. There’s a defense system panel next to the door that can be deactivated with the GRE key now that it has power. As soon as the doors open, a Bomber will run out, so players need to kill it before entering. Inside the secret developer room, players can find Easter Eggs for games developed by Techland as well as some valuable loot.
Within this secret area, players can obtain the Left Finger of GloVa, a powerful and amusing weapon in Dying Light 2 that can be crafted using 369 Scraps. Players will need to go inside the bedroom and sit on the bed, then wait for the lightning strikes that spawn teddy bears around the room. The last lightning strike will make the blueprints for the Left Finger of GloVa appear on the Techland poster.
The other blueprint in the secret developer room is the Korek Charm. This charm can be applied to any weapon with an open slot and will repair it for 500 durability points. The charm is reusable and can be applied to multiple weapons making it extremely valuable. To obtain the Korek Charm, players need to sit in the living room area on the long couch and look towards the thank you letter on the table. Another set of lightning strikes will occur ending with the appearance of the Korek Charm blueprint next to the letter. Getting into the secret developer room in Dying Light 2 can be tricky, but the rewards inside are worth it.
