On Saturday, July 02, the fourth game week of the Southeast Asia DPC Regional Dota 2 League’s third round will continue. In the second match of the next game day, Fnatic and Team SMG will play.
DPC SEA 2021/2022 Tour 3: Division I is an online Dota 2 tournament that will take place from June 08 to July 14, 2022. Eight of the strongest teams from the Southeast Asian region will compete for $205,000. In addition to cash prizes, the teams will fight for three major titles and the important DPC points needed to qualify for T11.

Fnatic: The only one who hasn’t lost yet
The favored team in SEA has yet to lose a game in the summer tourney. Fnatic has already played three games, and all of them were victories over Nigma Galaxy SEA (2-1), RSG (2-1), and Talon Esports (2-0). Moreover, the last game over Talon was taken so convincingly that one wonders if that’s how the favorite reached peak form or if 23savage and his squad had a very weak approach to the game.
After TI10, Fnatic changed its roster. Armel, an experienced player who played three-plus years for TNC Predator, assumed the mid lane position, while Jaunuel, who had flown at OB Esports x Neon, assumed the position five. In January, the team was completely re-synchronized, and Fnatic became an Asian powerhouse once again.
At the end of the first DPC, they managed to make a comeback and reach the Majors, which was canceled at the last minute. In the second DPC league, there were no such problems. The Asian powerhouse quietly occupied the TOP-3 in its region and was preparing for the majors.
In Sweden, as part of the group stage, the team Fnatic pursued the magic of numbers. In the entire first stage, this team finished with the statistics 2-2-2, which did not allow them to start as the winners. In the first match of the playoffs, the guys received an extremely familiar opponent – T1, which they could overcome with a score of 2-1. And then there was the game with OG (1:2), which was also supposed to end with a victory, but on the third map, the Europeans made a huge comeback, and after that, OG was unstoppable. Fnatic finished the majors in 7th-8th place, which is not bad overall.
Team SMG: The guys do not want to be out
So far, Team SMG is going through the tournament extremely unstable. Team SMG started the summer tour with a defeat against BOOM (1:2), followed by an ordinary victory over Polaris Esports (2-0). This opponent is now weakened by substitutions and is likely to be the first team to leave the elite at the end of this summer. The game with T1 (1:2) showed that SMG is incapable of stable wagering matches. Onetwo disgusting ones followed one successful map. The stability of RSG drafts (0-2) was a stumbling block that prevented SMG players from overpowering the elite debutant.

Team SMG has at its disposal a few star Malaysian players who could easily strengthen any Southeast Asian tier-1 team but, in the current stack, can not yet get to the result.
