The next League of Legends champion is coming to Wild Rift soon. As revealed in the Season 2022 dev video, Sett is set (pun not intended) to arrive in the mobile MOBA with patch 3.0. Looking at Riot’s patch release schedule for Wild Rift, that will be on January 19, 2022.
It is possible, however, that he may not actually make his way into the game until after the patch is released. Sometimes champions are released in Wild Rift throughout a patch cycle and not necessarily on day one. In the dev video, which was released on January 7, it was hinted that Sett is coming “later this month.”
Sett is making his way from League PC and will be best played in the Baron lane where he offers a powerful one-two punch. Riot didn’t dive into his abilities, but he appears to maintain his same style and feel from his PC counterpart. He’s a physical, in-your-face champion who can initiate fights with stylish suplexes and use enemy champions against their allies.
Sett isn’t the only new champion coming to Wild Rift soon. Yuumi, the fluffy Magical Cat and support champion, will also be arriving in the near future. Yuumi also appears similar to her PC counterpart, attaching to her allies and buffing them with increased stats, heals, shields and speed. She is also capable of dishing some decent damage and even stunning enemies to present the perfect opportunity for her laning partner to land the killing blow.
Yuumi is coming after Sett. Right now she’s on track to arrive in Wild Rift next month as part of a special event, Yuumi’s Adventure.
League of Legends: Wild Rift patch 3.0 is set to go live on January 19, 2022 (00:01 UTC), followed by patch 3.1 on March 24, 2022 and patch 3.2 on May 12, 2022. Of course, in between these major patches are smaller balance updates.
