Astra made her way into the game with Act 2 of Episode 2, in March 2021. But it looks like players don’t want to pick the agent, calling it the most boring agent in Valorant.
Reddit user ‘ddd4175‘ took to r/ValorantCompetitive to express their concerns. The player feels that Astra is one of the biggest problems in the Valorant professional scene and requires teams to play around the agent’s abilities.
Many fans agreed and also think there’s nothing to counter a good Astra player, besides maybe a KAY/O’s knife.

ShahZaM, the in-game leader for Sentinels and popular Valorant streamer, compared CS: GO and Valorant in a recent clip. While CS: GO is fast-paced and exciting, they believe Valorant has become monotonous.
They further added that it’s mostly because of Astra’s abilities to stop rushes from anywhere on the map and it’s not fun for the viewers, as well as the players.
Whether Astra gets a rework or not in the near future remains to be seen, but one thing is for sure — the agent needs a nerf or a counter in Valorant.
