The Queen has celebrated her Platinum Jubilee in a quiet occasion at her residence in Sandringham, Norfolk, with new photos and footage.
Yesterday marked 70 years since Her Majesty took to the throne after her father, King George Vl, died.
She spent the day working with fresh pictures and video showing her alongside important papers from her Private Secretaries, delivered via a red despatch box.

Now the Queen has celebrated her Platinum Jubilee, the first for a British monarch, you may want to know when Her Majesty’s birthday is and how old she’ll be when the day does come around. You may be surprised to learn she actually has two birthdays. Here’s what we know.
Platinum Jubilee: When is the Queen’s birthday and how old will she be?
Her Majesty, the Queen, is due to celebrate her birthday on April 21. She was born in 1926, meaning she’ll turn 96 when her next special day comes around.
The Queen was born at 2.40am on that day at her grandparents’ residence in Mayfair, central London.
She usually celebrates her actual birthday behind closed doors in a private fashion with family members.
Platinum Jubilee: When is the Queen’s second birthday?
You may be surprised to learn that the Queen celebrates a second birthday, too. This usually takes place on the second Saturday in June.
This second birthday came about during the reign of King George ll in 1748 who celebrated his special day in the autumn.
But as the British weather during autumn isn’t great, it was suggested that a better celebration would be during the spring and summer months and so the day was moved to June.
Her Majesty’s second birthday used to be held on the second Thursday in June, which her father King George Vl celebrated his special day on, but it was moved to Saturday seven years into her reign.
Platinum Jubilee: What events are there to mark the Queen’s birthdays?
Gun salutes take place to mark Her Majesty’s actual birthday. These include a 41-gun salute in Hyde Park, central London, a 21-gun salute in Windsor Great Park and a 62-gun salute at the Tower of London.
For her birthday celebrations in June, the day is intertwined with the Trooping of the Colour parade. During this, more than 1,400 soldiers, 200 horses and 400 musicians move along from Buckingham Palace down the Mall to Whitehall, with well-wishers waving flags, before returning to Buckingham Palace, where Her Majesty greets fans on the balcony. Afterwards, members of the Royal Family watch an RAF flypast.
