Rocket League Season 6: Release Date, Roadmap, & Details

After a few months with Rocket League Season 5, it’s surely time for a change of pace. Well, luckily for us, Season 6 is just around the corner, and we are roaring and ready to go! When is Season 6 going to release, though, and what do we know about its content. You know how Season 3 had that god-awful sports-car theme? Well, Season 6 is going to have one too and… hopefully… it will be awesome!

So that’s why I am here: to tell you everything that you could possibly want to know about Rocket League Season 6! The release date and all the latest rumors are below, and we promise you that we’ll also take a brief look at the game’s new ranked rewards and a whole lot more. Are you pumped? We’re pumped.

When Is The Rocket League Season 6 Release Date & Time?

Rocket League Season 6 is likely to release on or around March 9, 2022. We know this because the Season 5 Rocket Pass is due to end on that same day, with the Season 5 Rewards becoming available from thereon-out. We know that in the past, Rocket League seasons generally release on the same day or perhaps the next that the previous Season’s Rocket Pass ends, so this date is pretty likely.

What Can We Expect From Rocket League Season 6?

Whilst we have no specific details regarding the content of Rocket League Season 6, we can expect a new Battle Car, Arena, Rocket Pass, and a variety of new cosmetic items. With a new Season comes the resetting of Rocket League Ranks, and thus, the new competitive season will begin. The current rank distribution seen in Rocket League will change dramatically, as will the disparity between players.

What we can’t expect is many changes to the game’s MMR, with a new competitive Season mainly bringing in cosmetic items and changes to the ranked play mode. We’re not sure what the new theme will be, though there are a few rumors outlined below. Whatever it is, there will be a ton of themed-rewards and items available when the season launches.

New Rocket League Season 6 Rumors & Leaks

The thing about Rocket League is that it is not a game that gets many leaks and rumors. That being said, there are a couple of things we can probably expect. We’ve had such a large variety in season themes, including jumping over into the Wild West, launching into space and playing homage to Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars, Rocket League’s predecessor.

Rocket League Season 6 Theme

We don’t yet know what the Rocket League Season 6 Theme will be, seeing as nothing has been officially announced by Psyonix as of the time of writing (February 25, 2022). We have seen a variety of themes in the past, including music, Western, and the others listed above, so perhaps we could see something else like this being employed.

It would be cool to see a Fantasy Theme, with Battle Cars decked out as Knights in Shining Armor, or perhaps a superhero season, or something of the sort. There are so many options that it is hard to really have any idea of what Psyonix might do next. We just hope that it’s a step-up over the last year’s worth of Seasons.

Rocket League Season 6 Limited Time Modes

New Seasons often launch with brand new Limited Time Modes, but yet again, we have no information about this right now. Over the course of the last season, we saw a few, but they are always associated with particular events that are usually unrelated to the season itself. That being said, there may, or may not, be a new LTM in Season 6.

New Season 6 Rocket Pass

With every Rocket League Season comes a new Rocket Pass, complete with 70-Tiers of Rewards for Pass holders. Last Season’s rewards were pretty solid, but Season 3’s were pretty awful, so there’s no real way of knowing whether they will be any good in Season 6. That being said, we can surely expect a new Battle Car with several variations and a plethora of new items relating to whatever Season 6′ theme turns out to be. It will likely be priced at 1000 RL Credits for the base version and 2000 for the premium.
