Its trailer was one of a number of teasers released this week.
Christian Bale plays the fabulously named villain Gorr The God Butcher in the newly-released Marvel flick Thor: Love and Thunder but that’s not the only movie he has coming out this year.
He is also one of the leads of Amsterdama new crime comedy set in the 1930s, for which a trailer dropped this week.
The movie’s plot synopsis says it will follow three friends – a doctor (Bale), a nurse (Margot Robbie) and an attorney (John David Washington) who “witness a murder, become suspects themselves and uncover one of the most outrageous plots in American history”.
On top of the three leads, there are plenty of other big names among the film’s supporting cast including Alessandro Nivola, Andrea Riseborough, Anya-Taylor Joy, Chris Rock, Matthias Schoenaerts, Michael Shannon, Mike Myers, Rami Malek, Robert De Niro, Taylor Swift, Timothy Olyphant and Zoe Saldaña.
Written and directed by David O’Russell (American Hustle, Silver Linings Playbook), people can find out if Amsterdam lives up to its starry ensemble when it arrives in Irish cinemas on 4 November, 2022.
Until then, its trailer can be watched below.
