A Jacksonville outdoor sporting goods store announced it is closing after 39 years.
Black Creek Outfitters has been owned by the Butler family since its beginning. Now, the family has decided to close the store after selling its retail property in September 2021, according to Black Creek Outfitter’s Facebook page.
The store sells outdoor apparel, footwear, paddleboards, kayaks, car racks and other accessories. The store is planning to liquidate all its merchandise with discounts as much as 50%.
The store is currently closed to prepare for its Going Out of Business Sale, which starts Thursday.
“Our family cannot thank our staff, our customers and the entire North Florida community enough for their support the past 39 years,” the store’s owners said in a statement on Facebook. “We hope to see you in the store one last time or maybe even a few last times before we close the doors for good.”
