Fortnite’s v21.10 update has added Darth Vader’s Lightsaber as a new weapon, and we’ll go over how you can acquire it along with the locations of the iconic Star Wars villain on the map.
Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 3 has received its first major update with the arrival of the v21.10 patch that has added brand-new content to the battle royale title, including the Naruto Rivals! cosmetic skins.
Another new addition in this update patch is Darth Vader’s Lightsaber which you can acquire after defeating the classic Star Wars villain in combat. We’ll cover Darth Vader’s location along with how to get your hands on the weapon.
Where to find Darth Vader in Fortnite
Darth Vader can be found at a few different spots on the Fortnite map, with his most common spawn points being at the Dirt-Cut Circuit that’s south of Coney Crossroads as well as a spot near Logjam Lumberyard.
When you’re on the Battle Bus, you’ll be able to spot his ship flying around the island, so just follow it until it lands. Once the ship touches the ground, it will be visible from a distance as a glowing blue light.
Just make your way towards it, and you’ll have the opportunity to battle Darth Vader for his Lightsaber. We’ve marked the locations where we found Vader’s ship on the map, and we’ll be sure to update this article if we find more spots.
How to defeat Darth Vader in Fortnite
Darth Vader will be surrounded by two Stormtroopers that will engage you in combat. So, we recommend landing somewhere near the ship and looting up on weapons and healing items before charging into battle.
While the Stormtroopers aren’t too difficult to defeat, Vader himself will put up quite the fight. He is able to throw his Lightsaber at you and pull you towards him by using the force. He’s also able to deflect your shots with the Lightsaber, so this will be a difficult battle.
You should steal an E-11 Blaster Rifle from the Stormtroopers that you take down and then use it in the boss fight as this weapon is extremely effective against Darth Vader. Te E-11 doesn’t run out of ammo, so just keep your distance and land as many headshots as you can.
How to use Darth Vader’s Lightsaber in Fortnite
Once you’ve taken down Darth Vader, you can collect his Lightsaber. This Mythic melee weapon can also be thrown at other players by simply aiming it and pressing the ‘shoot’ button.
Aside from that, this weapon functions similarly to Fortnite’s standard Lightsabers, allowing you to slice through your enemies and deflect attacks. You can use it to cause some serious havoc after hopping into Fortnite.
