How confident are you that Major League Baseball’s spring training will start on time next month?
Confident enough to put money on it?
You’ll get that chance starting Saturday when the Detroit Tigers begin selling individual game tickets for Grapefruit League games at Publix Field at Joker Marchant Stadium in Lakeland, Fla.
MLB has locked out players since Dec. 1, the first work stoppage in the sport since 1995, and no deal appears imminent.
The Tigers are slated to play an exhibition game on Feb. 25 against Southeastern University and their first Grapefruit League game on Feb. 26 against the Washington Nationals.
Tickets for those or any game can be purchased beginning Saturday at 10 a.m. Fans can purchase tickets in person at the box office, by calling 863-686-8075 or by visiting Tigers.com.
Tickets are priced at five different levels based on date and demand. The costliest tickets involve the Yankees and Red Sox.
