With temperatures expected to climb into the 90s Wednesday, what better way to escape the heat than by being in a cool, air-conditioned theater for a couple of hours?
A partnership between Gateway Film Center and the Columbus City Council is making a trip to the movies easier, with free movie screenings from noon to 6 p.m. Wednesday. Customers will also receive a complementary popcorn, according to a news release.
Films showing at Gateway, located at 1550 N. High Street, include Disney/Pixar’s “Lightyear”, the origin story of “Toy Story” space commander Buzz Lightyear; “Jurassic World Dominion,” the third entry in the “Jurassic World” series, which sees star Chris Pratt go on a globetrotting adventure with “Jurassic Park” actors Jeff Goldblum, Laura Dern and Sam Neill; and “Top Gun: Maverick,” the long-awaited sequel to the 1986 film “Top Gun,” where Tom Cruise teaches a new class of Navy aviators.
