Respawn Entertainment is finally bringing their battle royale experience over to mobile. Here’s everything you need to know about Apex Legends Mobile, including the release date, Beta, gameplay, and maps.
Apex Legends has been on consoles and PC for just over two years now, as the game had its official two-year anniversary back in February for Season 8.
Apex Legends is now in Season 10, and although this season has had a lot to offer, people are still looking forward to future seasons, with some leaks suggesting a new map could be on the way.
With that being said, Respawn Entertainment has decided to bring the battle royale to the mobile gaming community, with some players getting a chance to play the game early through the Closed Beta.

Thanks to the Beta, we now have a ton of information on Apex Legends Mobile, so here’s everything we know so far.
Apex Legends Mobile release date
Unfortunately, there is no official release date for Apex Legends Mobile, as the game is currently in the Closed Beta stages.
Although we have no confirmation or hints as to when it will be released, we can assume that it is probably not being released for the public any time soon and will most likely be released sometime next year in 2022.
If you want to get your hands on it early, you may be eligible for the Closed Beta.
Apex Legends Mobile Beta
Respawn has been running small Closed Beta tests of the Mobile game over 2021, starting in India and expanding recently to places like Egypt and Columbia.
The Closed Beta is first come, first serve, and it could be coming to your region soon. To make sure you’re involved, check out both of our articles on all the regions the beta is available in and also how to sign up for the beta.
Apex Legends Mobile gameplay
Apex Legends Mobile’s gameplay will be inherently similar to the battle royale players know and love, featuring all of the same weapons and mechanics.
From little things like unlimited ammo in the Firing Range to detailed stats for every weapon, there are some differences that the developers have explicitly implemented for the Mobile version that have been spotted in the beta and may stay for launch.
For starters, players will be selecting from a smaller pool of the main game’s Legends, like the Closed Beta currently only has Bloodhound, Gibraltar, Lifeline, Wraith, Bangalore, Caustic, Octane, and Wattson.
Many have spotted Revenant in one of Mobile’s promotional images, so perhaps more Legends will release as the beta tests go on.
A third-person perspective is another feature only available in Mobile. Apart from an easter egg, players can activate in the PC and console version’s Firing Range.
In the Mobile version, players have can switch between third and first-person, depending on their preference. When in third-person, players will get a better view of what’s around them, and the camera will switch back to first when aiming down sights.
Apex Legends Mobile maps
In the Mobile beta, the only battle royale map available is World’s Edge. This could change come release, and we may see Kings Canyon and Olympus on mobile at some point, but as far as we know, it’s just World’s Edge for now.
There are some other maps available for players, such as the Arenas map from the main game Artillery. This map is available in Arenas for Apex Legends Mobile and in the recent addition of a Team Deathmatch mode, which may also come to console and PC in the future.
Dataminers have also found some exclusive maps in the files for Apex Legends Mobile, but once again, we’ll probably get more information on these when the full game is launched and revealed.
As more information is released about Apex Legends Mobile, we’ll make sure to update this article, so come back in the future for more news. That’s it for now. Check out our article on how to get the 20 kill badge in Apex Legends for more.
