Augusta, Ga. – The best time of the golf season continues with third round of action at the 2022 Masters. The beauty of April surrounds Augusta National Golf Club on Saturdays as low temperatures and windy winds cover the course. Scores came high across the board on Friday, and with the cut now, Moving Day presents a formidable challenge on the third set of 18 holes in this majestic course.
The 2022 Masters is off and underway with another star-studded affair, a field that includes most of the world’s best golfers. According to Kaiser Sportsbook, world No. 1 Scotty Scheffler has emerged as a dominant leader, taking a five-stroke advantage over the rest of the field and sitting at even odds through 36 holes. Six golfers have taken such a lead after 36 holes in the Masters, with five going on to win the green jacket.
Tiger Woods returns to the Masters arena for the first time since 2020 as he plays a professional golf event for the first time in 17 months. He made a strong start on Thursday with perhaps the most remarkable 71 in Masters history, including a spirited birdie on the 16th and a handful of par saves that kept him in the hunt as he continues to chase down his sixth green jacket. However, Woods – like many on Friday – stumbled and now sits nine shots behind Scheffler’s entering Round 3.
